Biography
Dr Alex Lee, MBChB (CUHK), MD (CUHK), FHKCP, FHKAM (Medicine), MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin), FRCP (London), FACC, FESC, serves as an editorial board member on the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
Dr Lee is Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Director of Echocardiography Laboratory at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. He was appointed Director of Laboratory of Cardiac Imaging and 3D Printing in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology (Co-Chair of Echo Chapter), an active member of the Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography (Chair of Echo Asia 2021), and the Vice-President of the Greater Bay Society of Ultrasound. He is a Mayo Clinic Alumni. He has published over 200 articles on echocardiography and cardiovascular medicine and is Editor of JACC Asia and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine.
He participates as principal investigator in over 20 clinical trials in CUHK. He has been awarded numerous research awards including the State Ministry of Education First-Class Award, the ESC Young Investigator Award, the CUHK Research Excellence Award, the Hong Kong College of Physicians Distinguished Research Award and Distinguished Young Fellow, and the Richard Yu Lectureship.
Dr Alex Lee is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, published by Radcliffe Cardiology on behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
