Biography

Dr Carmela Nappi is a Nuclear Medicine Physician. She is a researcher in the Department of Advanced Biomedical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II in Naples, Italy. 

In 2017, Dr Nappi completed her research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. She then went on to obtain her PhD in Biomorphological and Surgical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II in 2019. 

Dr Nappi's research centers around the use of multimodality imaging, in particular, PET, CT, MR and SPECT. Dr Nappi is co-author of over 75 publications in peer-reviewed international indexed journals, a book review, and two chapters. 

She was a finalist to receive the Marie Curie award in 2014, and received the Young Investigator Award from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular imaging in 2018.  

Dr Carmela Nappi is on the Editorial Board of European Cardiology Review.
