Biography

Dr. Christian H. Heeger is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He trained from 2011 to 2018 at St. Georg Hospital in Hamburg under the guidance of Prof. Kuck and Dr. Ouyang. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a consultant electrophysiologist, and from 2022 to 2023, he served as head of electrophysiology and deputy director of the rhythmology department at the same hospital. In 2023, he became a professor at the University Heart Center in Lübeck, Germany. In January 2024, he founded and became the director of the Department of Rhythmology at Asklepios Klinik Hamburg Altona.

Dr. Heeger completed his medical studies at the University of Heidelberg. Following his degree, he underwent extensive clinical training in internal medicine and cardiology, acquiring a broad expertise in heart diseases. He has contributed significantly to clinical practice and research, particularly in the areas of cardiovascular diagnostics, heart failure, and advanced imaging techniques in cardiology.

Dr. Heeger is the first or senior author of more than 70 original publications and has co-authored over 200 research papers.
