Academic History
Dr Saldarriaga completed her undergraduate studies in Medicine at the Jesus Maria School in Medellin in 1994 and went on to continue her studies at the Medical School at the University of Antioquia in 2002. She then went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Antioquia in 2008.

Dr Saldarriaga is currently a Professor of Cardiology at Cardiovascular Clinic Santa Maria at the University of Antioquia in Medellín. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Columbian Association of internal medicine.
Dr Clara Saldarriaga is also President of the Columbian Society of Cardiology – she is the first woman and youngest person to hold this position.
