Dr Guarracino is Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine and Director of Cardiothoracic and vascular Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria in Pisa, Italy.
His main research interests are in perioperative echocardiography, acute heart failure and pathophysiology of shock.
