Biography

Dr Gerry Lee is a Reader in Advanced Clinical Practice at King's College London, London, UK.

Dr Lee brings extensive expertise to advanced practice, delving into its impact on clinical outcomes, staff familiarity with these roles, and the necessary education and training for advanced practitioners. Her experience spans across continents, having pioneered one of Australia's inaugural Master's programs for Nurse Practitioners. In the UK, specifically at King's College London, she has spearheaded the Advanced Clinical Practice program since 2012, catering to professionals in acute and community care.

Dr Lee explores topics ranging from digital health and advanced practice education to hospital-at-home initiatives and cardiovascular disease, particularly Atrial Fibrillation. Her contributions extend beyond research papers, encompassing impactful book chapters and editorials.

She has worked in Australia where she developed one of the first Masters' programmes for Nurse Practitioners. Dr Lee is a researcher on topics relating to digital health, advanced practice education, hospital in the home and cardiovascular disease (in particular atrial fibrillation).

Dr Lee has written editorials, book chapters and more than 130 peer-reviewed studies. She serves on the ACNAP Advocacy committee and is an active member of the European Society of Cardiology.
