Biography
Dr Ian Paterson is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Alberta. He completed his Cardiology training and an Echocardiography Fellowship at the McGill University, followed by a Cardiovascular MRI Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr Paterson is also the Academic and Research Director of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance at the University of Alberta and Past President of the Canadian Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
Dr Paterons research interests include prevention and treatment of chemotherapy related cardiotoxicity; advanced cardiac imaging (MRI and echo); heart failure; and medical education.
