Academic History

Dr Ilais Moreno Velasquez studied as an undergraduate at Universidad de Panamá obtaining her degree in medicine. She then continued her career abroad, obtaining her master’s in Science degree at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She later relocated to Stockholm and studied for her PhD at Karolinska Institutet.1

Dr Ilais Moreno Velasquez has worked as an investigator at Instituto Conmemorativo Gorgas de Estudios de Salud in Panama since 2016. In 2020, she started working as an investigador at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association in Berlin, Germany.2
