Joerg Herrmann

Joerg Herrmann, M.D., is a cardiologist researching how cancer and heart disease interact. Dr. Herrmann's research focuses on cardio-oncology, which studies the potential negative effects of cancer treatments on the circulatory system. Additionally, Dr. Herrmann is very interested in vascular illnesses, particularly the formation of atherosclerotic plaques and their effects. His work also examines the relationship between inflammation and metabolism in macrophages, which comprise most of the atherosclerotic plaques' cellular composition. Dr Hermann's research areas include cardio-oncology, atherosclerosis and immuno-metabolism.
