Biography
A cardiologist with board certification, Dr. Wu. is the Simon H. Stertzer, MD, Professor of Medicine and Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine and the director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.
Dr. Wu was also chosen by the American Heart Association to serve as its president-elect for the 2022–2023 fiscal year. He conducts extensive research focussing on clinical genomics, stem cells and drug development in the interest of developing heart care.
Cardiovascular imaging and adult congenital heart disease are two of his therapeutic interests. Each patient's heart health and overall quality of life are his top priorities.
Dr Wu has earned numerous awards and honours, including the Distinguished Scientist Award from the AHA, and the Director's New Innovator Award and Transformative Award from the National Institutes of Health.
