Biography
Myung H Park, MD, FACC, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology and Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Diseases Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. She has presented original research at national and international scientific meetings, and is an investigator in many study trials in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Dr Park is published in the areas of management and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, cardiac transplant immunology, ventricular assist devices, treatment of cardiac allograft rejection, and medical therapies for patients with end-stage congestive heart failure. She received her MD from the Temple University School of Medicine, where she continued her training in Philadelphia with an internship and residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital. This was followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. She furthered her training by completing an advanced fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
