Nikolaos Bonaros

Prof Dr Nikolas Bonaros is a senior consultant at Innsbruck University Hospital and an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the Medical University of Innsbruck.

His main interests are totally endoscopic and minimally invasive coronary and valve procedures including robotics and 3D visualization. He is director of an interdisciplinary program for transcatheter aortic and mitral valve interventions in Innsbruck. He has participated in several multicenter trials on coronary surgery, hybrid coronary revascularization and transcatheter valve interventions. His experimental interests focus on stem cell therapy and myocardial regeneration as well as on imaging techniques to facilitate minimally invasive procedures.
