Personal History
Dr Rajat Kalra is a Cardiologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota.

Academic History
Dr Kalra graduated from the University of Birmingham College of Medical and Dental Sciences, U.K. in 2011. He remained in the U.K. to complete his foundation year 1 before moving to the U.S. to continue his postgraduate medical training.1
In the U.S., Dr Kalra completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before moving on to complete his cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging fellowships at the University of Minnesota.1
During this time, he also pursued his formal training in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health.1
Dr Kalra’s academic interests pertain to the use of clinical, laboratory, and imaging biomarkers to define the mechanisms underlying heart failure and cardiac arrest and refine prognostication in these conditions.3
