I am currently working as Professor, Department of Cardiology AIIMS, New Delhi. I was formally Sub Dean (Academic) and Acting Dean of AIIMS new Delhi. I have passed MBBS from Gorakhpur medical college with many distinctions. I passed the MD degree from Agra medical college with gold medal and DM in cardiology from AIIMS with gold medal.
I have received many prestigious awards including the Dr B C Roy award by the Medical Council of India, Yas Bharti Award by Uttar Pradesh Government, Face Rashtriya Gourav Award 2013, Delhi Star Award 2014, Sambhavna Samman 2016.
I am an interventional cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. I am editor of the prestigious cardiology journal “Indian heart journal”. I am formal secretary of Cardiology society of India Delhi branch and Executive member of Cardiology society of India. I am Joint secretory of Heart failure society of India and international society for heart research (Indian section). I am Reviewer for ICMR, DST, DBT Projects and many national & international journals. Delivered > 250 Guest Lectures in various conferences. I have taken numerous public lectures, written articles in newspapers and given many educational talks regarding health on All India Radio & Televisions.
I have more than 100 article in my name. I am currently a member of many prestigious committees of government of India, ICMR, DST etc.
Dr Rakesh Yadav is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, published by Radcliffe Cardiology on behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
