Biography

Dr Sana M. Al-Khatib is a Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, US. She is a board-certified clinical electrophysiologist and expert in cardiac arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death prevention, and implantable cardiac devices. 

With over 300 publications, she excels in clinical trials, outcomes research, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Dr Al-Khatib is a Senior Associate Editor for Circulation and serves on editorial boards for several cardiology journals. She chaired the 2017 American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology/Heart Rhythm Society guideline on ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death prevention.
