Personal History
Dr. Tarun W. Dasari is a cardiologist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center and Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in Hyderabad, India where he completed his MD.
Academic History
Dr. Dasari graduated from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India, in 2002. He then went on to receive his Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from OUHSC. He then completed finished his internship, residency and fellowship from OUHSC and an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplantation from Loyola University Medical Center, Illinois.2

Dr. Dasari is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Director of the Coronary Care Unit. He is board certified in internal medicine, advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation, cardiovascular diseases, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.1 He has participated in multiple research and clinical studies with OUHSC and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He has received numerous awards for research presentations and was recently selected from a highly competitive group of candidates to participate in the 2018 American College of Cardiology Emerging Faculty Leadership Academy. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.3
