Personal History
Dr Vineet Agrawal is a physician-scientist and is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is from Omaha, Nebraska.1, 2, 5
Academic History
In 2006, Dr Agrawal completed his undergraduate training at Duke University in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. In 2012, he completed his MD and PhD in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed his residency in internal medicine in the Osler Medical Training Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.1
His clinical interests are in general cardiology (both prevention and treatment), vascular medicine, cardiovascular imaging and heart failure. His research interests are in understanding mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of heart failure with preserved ejection (HFpEF), or diastolic heart failure.2
