Dr Renato D Lopes, principal investigator (Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC, US) joins host, Dr Harriette Van Spall (McMaster University, Hamilton, CA) to discuss The Coalition ACTION Trial presented at ACC 2021.

The ACTION trial assessed whether in-hospital therapeutic anticoagulation with rivaroxaban for stable patients, or enoxaparin for unstable patients, followed by rivaroxaban through 30 days compared with standard prophylactic anticoagulation improved clinical outcomes in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and elevated D-dimer levels.
