Overview
In this video series, chair of the debate, Prof Julian P Gunn (University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK) introduces the panel and asks the audience of ACI 2020 to cast their votes on the motion “This house believes that, in most circumstances, DCB therapy is equivalent to implantation of DES”. Dr Simon Eccleshall (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Norwich, UK) argues that drug coated balloons (DCB) is equivalent or even better than drug eluting stents (DES) referring on recent data from BASKET-SMALL 2, Debut study. Whilst Prof Rod Stables (Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool, UK) argues against the motion that DCB therapy is equivalent to implantation of DES. The series concludes by furthering the arguments delivered by Prof Rod Stables (Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool, UK) and Dr Simon Eccleshall (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Norwich, UK).
