Overview
Rhythm Interventions Online 2023 – one of the leading practical education broadcasts in electrophysiology – took place 30 November – 1 December 2023.
Bringing together a faculty of over 47 key opinion leaders, seven case centres from both sides of the Atlantic and a global audience of over 2,500 delegates, RIO 2023 delivered best-in-class education curated to support practical learning and, ultimately, better patient outcomes.
With practice at its core, RIO again presented challenging and complex live cases from centres of excellence, alongside hot topics, presentations and debate from electrophysiologists at the forefront of practice and global innovation.
Watch the full programme – including breakouts and symposia – on-demand here.
Watch out for further details shortly for Rhythm Interventions Online 2024.
Note, the live version of this event was CME accredited; this on-demand version is not.

Richard Schilling
Consultant Cardiologist
Prof Schilling has been a consultant cardiologist at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London NHS trust since 2001. He was appointed as chair in cardiology and electrophysiology in 2009. His current practice involves all aspects of electrophysiology and management of cardiac arrhythmia including catheter ablation, implantation of pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure patients.
Prof Schilling was part of the team that lead the merger of the Heart and Barts hospitals which is one of the largest heart centers in Europe. He is the Strategy Director for Barts Hospital, the Medical Director for the Arrhythmia Alliance and President-Elect for the British Heart Rhythm Society.
Prof Schilling is a member of the AER editorial board.
Jason G Andrade
Director, Atrial Fibrillation Clinic, Electrodiagnostics, and Cardiac Electrophysiology
Dr Jason Andrade is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada, with joint appointment at St Paul’s Hospital and the Montreal Heart Institute. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and an Adjunct Professor at the Université de Montréal. Dr Andrade is the Director of the Electrophysiology Program at VGH, as well as Head of the Atrial Fibrillation Clinic at VGH. He also serves as co-chair of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Atrial Fibrillation Guidelines committee, and serves as the medical lead for the atrial fibrillation care in the province of British Columbia. He previously served as chair of the education committee for the Canadian Heart Rhythm society.
Dr Andrade is the principal investigator of two ongoing multicenter clinical trials on cryoablation (the CIRCA-DOSE study and the EARLY-AF program). He has authored or co-authored over 120 scientific publications, predominantly in…
Luigi Di Biase
Section Head of Electrophysiology
Dr Luigi Di Biase is the Section Head of Electrophysiology at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, US. He graduated summa cum laude from University of Bari's cardiology residency in 2000, and completed a master's degree of electrophysiology and cardiac pacing at the University of Insubria in Varese in 2006.
Dr Di Biase’s research focuses on cardiology and electrophysiology with specific emphasis on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias performed either manually or with robotic catheter navigation. Additionally, his research focuses on heart failure, particularly cases treated with cardiac resynchronization therapy devices.
Dr Di Biase has participated in over 450 published articles in indexed journals, and regularly presents data at international cardiology conferences.
Dr Di Biase is a member of the Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review editorial board.
Devi Nair
Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology
Dr Devi Nair is a cardiologist and the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at St Bernard's Heart and Vascular Center in Arkansas, US. She also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As an international leader in cardiac rhythm management, Dr Nair specialises in cardiac devices and cardiac ablation therapy.
Dr Nair has made significant contributions to the field through her numerous publications in leading international medical journals. Her extensive medical training began at the University of Kerala, India, followed by residencies at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, US. She further honed her expertise with fellowships at Case Western Reserve University, US.
