In this insightful roundtable, Dr Dan Lenihan (Saint Francis Healthcare System, US) and Dr Joe Carver (University of Pennsylvania, US) are joined by a panel of experts in the field of anticoagulation, including cardiologists, oncologists, nurses and clinical pharmacists.
Each expert will provide insights based on their clinical experience, fostering a comprehensive discussion on the multifaceted challenges in anticoagulation, exploring current strategies for prevention, detection, treatment and discussing future directions in the field.

The International Cardio-Oncology Society is a committed group of professionals throughout the world who are striving to protect the cardiovascular health of all patients who are undergoing cancer therapy. By optimising the cardiac status of patients with cancer before, during and after their treatment, IC-OS is collectively improving the overall outcomes including survival and quality of life. IC-OS aims to provide the latest scientific and clinical education and research for anyone treating patients with cancer in the hopes of enhancing cardiovascular protection.

Dan Lenihan
Dr Dan Lenihan is a cardio-oncologist specialising in cardiology, heart disease and advanced heart failure, at Saint Francis Healthcare System, Cape Girardeau, US.
He is a co-Founder and Board Member of the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS), which is an international professional association whose primary goal is to eliminate cardiac disease as a barrier to effective cancer therapy.
He is actively involved in patient care as the Director of the Cardio-Oncology Programme, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and the Heart Failure clinic at Saint Francis Healthcare System.
Joe Carver
Dr Joe Carver is the Bernard Fishman Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, US. He is the Chief of Staff at the Abramson Cancer Center.
He is the Director of the Thalheimer Cardio-oncology Center at the Abramson Cancer Center and his clinical practice is in the subspecialty of cardio-oncology.
Rami Manochakian
Dr Rami Manochakian is a Thoracic Medical Oncologist at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, US.
Dr Manochakian interests are in treating patients with thoracic malignancies including lung cancer, mesothelioma and thymic tumours.

Dr Michael Fradley is a Medical Director at Thalheimer Center for Cardio-Oncology and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Penn Medicine, Philadelphia, US.
Avirup Guha
Dr Avirup Guha, Assistant Professor at Augusta University, leads Cardio-Oncology at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, US. Dr Guha's ongoing research, under the patronage of the American Heart Association and the Department of Defense, delves deep into the translational science concerning biological disparities between White and Black men with prostate cancer (PC) undergoing androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). A key focal point is the exploration of the Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide pathway and its influence on vascular aging, further probing how social determinants of health modify its effects in the mentioned demographic. He is board-certified in cardiology, cardio-oncology, echocardiography, and several other cardiac imaging modalities.
Heather Moore
Dr Heather Moore, PharmD, BCOP, CPP, is a clinical oncology pharmacist and CPP (Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner) that specialises in breast oncology at Duke Cancer Institute, Durham, US. Aside from her clinical role, she also has a focus in research, specifically drug toxicity mitigation and management with special interests in cardio-oncology as she chairs the pharmacy working group with the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS), trastuzumab deruxtecan associated ILD and PI3K inhibitor-induced hyperglycemia amongst others with the ultimate goal of making targeted and advanced therapies more manageable for patients.

Husam Abdel-Qadir
Prof Husam Abdel-Qadir is a Cardiologist at Women’s College Hospital, Toronto, CA. Prof Abdel-Qadir's primary clinical and research focus is on the cardiovascular health of people with cancer, particularly breast cancer and he leads a research programme on the management and outcomes of people with atrial fibrillation.

Simona Chiusolo
Dr Simona Chiusolo is a cardiologist at Pisana University Hospital, Pisa, IT. She specialises in cardiovascular diseases, focusing on ischaemic heart disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, dyslipidaemia and antithrombotic therapy management.
Dr Chiusolo earned her specialisation from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and is currently completing a PhD in clinical physiopathology at the University of Pisa. Her expertise in cardiology ensures top-tier care for her patients.
